You can wear your heart on your sleeve. Or railing. Or front door! Make Valentine garlands by cutting last year's valentine cards into pennant or heart shapes. Use a large heavy needle threaded with red yarn to connect the pieces and drape them throughout your home. No old cards lying around? Use construction paper or small paper doilies instead.

A monochromatic table is fun for the family, and pretty enough for a Valentine's Day dinner party with friends.
