Put Spring on Your Plate

Use these simple techniques to create fresh, beautiful and delicious food for Spring - and year round.

  1. Add color with fruits, vegetables and herbs. A variety of color usually means a variety of nutrients so include a wide spectrum of color when using fresh fruit and produce.
  2. Add texture by combining crunchy and creamy elements. A scoop of low fat frozen yogurt in a crisp waffle cup topped with fruit is a perfect example of textural contrast.
  3. Add height for visual excitement. Present dessert on a footed cake plate, serve a parfait in a tall glass, or garnish with a sprig of mint.
